Current Positions
Visual Design and UI Lead
Responsibilities
World Reborn is looking for a full-time Visual Design and UI Lead with strong UI, brand, and graphic design experience to join our fully remote team and contribute the following:
Collaborate with the Creative Director and Lead Artist to lead a team executing an iconic visual style for the game, including user interface, story graphics, and brand marketing
Provide visual comps/references during the concepting and ideation of game features
Create, polish, and prepare high fidelity UI assets and other gameplay components from specs, in collaboration with game and narrative designers
Working with our motion artist, design and create responsive UI to support a wide range of screen resolutions and mobile platforms
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, such as style guides and technical specifications, to ensure consistent and efficient communication
Work with the Lead Producer to prioritize, delegate, and provide direction and mentorship to a small team, enhancing their skills and helping them reach their full potential
Provide clear and concise feedback to internal and external team members to ensure alignment with the studio's quality standards, technical requirements, and artistic vision
Develop iconic brand marketing visuals for public launch in partnership with a major commercial partner
Stay up to date on industry trends and participate in cross-discipline discussions to improve visual designs and techniques
Qualifications
In addition to being a nice human, the ideal candidate will meet at least several of the following requirements:
6+ years of experience as a UI artist for games, with minimum 3+ years in mobile and 1+ shipped titles having owned UI-related features
Startup mentality–a willingness to don multiple hats, take on whatever tasks are required, and be a team player
Self-motivated, approaching challenges with curiosity
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice and effectively meet project deadlines
At home in a cross-functional, team-based environment, able to thrive in and promote a culture of collaboration
Demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to receive and provide clear feedback and art direction
Able to balance working hours with sync or async communication with others in different time zones
Proficiency in advanced design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Photoshop/Illustrator, and After Effects)
Comfortable enough in Unity to update assets in place without always needing developer assistance
An ability to work within an existing style guideline while helping to push and define it
Experience with optimizing high fidelity assets to adapt to the technical constraints and limitations of mobile platforms
Strong graphic design skills, experience with motion graphics and animation, expertise in game interaction, knowledge of the principles of typography, as well as wireframing skills
A strong portfolio that showcases visual taste, advanced UI, and strong artistic style. An ideal portfolio will include:
high-fidelity final assets
a range of visual styles
process work from concept to completion
innovative solutions to UI challenges
examples of UI animations or motion design

Familiarity with Rive
Proficiency and interest in UX design, prototyping, and user testing; experience doing UX for mobile games
